    Tronsmart Prometheus vs Bluetimes unbranded clone?

    **** seller "Bluetimes" sells some sort of Tronsmart Prometheus clone, but realy cheap (after a 25% down he offers every now and then).

    Anybody knows if this is compatible with the Prometheus (firmware wise)?

    I got one. Has a Visson cpu module and a Visson base board, nearly identical to the Prometheus shown in the CNX review http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/02/...etheus-review/ Only difference is that my Base Board is dated 12/28/2012, with some minor differences in routing and part selection (Big Aluminum Electrolytic caps (100uf) on the usb ports instead of just small ceramics, possible cost cutting, while even newer one Tronsmarts are coming without IR diode, another cost cutting). Mine has 2x 512 ram + 8gb flash.

    Has a firmware probably 100% the same as the Tronsmart 9/2013 Windows 8 looking Android 4.22 firmware afaik, and works great. Has Hardware Accelerated XBMC xbmcapp-visson-20130522.apk. Reports as MBOX in the settings screen, and gref18 in the build prop. Haven't tried Finless yet, because I don't have any problems with the built in rom so far. Only thing it won't do is come out of power down mode when I use the power button on the remote.

    There are some other **** auctions for supposedly tronsmart prometheus branded 8gb versions for the same amount. And Visson/Vison Smart, the real manufacturer, apparently also sells them directly as the VS ATV 106.

    That said, I have not tried a Tronsmart branded one, so I can't compare.
