Such a newbie cs918s

So I'm very new to this whole android / xbmc thing. I'm trying to learn what I can and any help is appreciated. I currently have a mx2 but I know nothing about what it's running. I have an sd card to flash it when it's frozen up but that's basically the extent of my knowledge.

I have recently ordered the cs918s. I want to know about available firmware and firmware builds, as well as how to install them.

The firmware that is pre-installed seems to be the best - dated 02/12/2013
