Media Scanner problem

hi guys, its me again and i have a tronsmart MK908II running on Finless Rom 1.5a. I notice when i first flash bob's rom, i can see all the images in gallery, but lately it doesn't show anything when i go to gallery. I am not sure if my media scanner has stop working... any help will be greatly appreciated. I already clear data the Media Storage and Gallery to rescan my files on reboot but still not showing. I want to avoid a factory reset as of now.

I use this app on my rk3066.. it has a big hd connected..
Every reboot it re-indexes my drive.. this made the device unresponsive for longtime.. after boot
This app solved my problem

thanks for the suggestion mitchell. Now the weird part is, i formatted my sd card. and created a Movies folder, then copied some movies there. Now the movies/videos that i copied is showing on Gallery app where as any picture that i copied to any folder including Movies folder is not showing up. I also have a Download folder with subfolders in it with videos and it is also not showing. but when i copy the picture in the internal storage, it shows. any idea?
