[Solved!] CS968 No Wifi after ROM update

Hello,

I've received today two CS968 Android TV Box, and tested everything i could remember to check for faulty hardware.

After this I downloaded this rom (Link) and followed the "How To Install a ROM" from this guide (Link).

Now I can't use Wifi and Bluetooth. Both show as "OFF". When trying to turn them on nothing happens and the the state goes back to "OFF". Also, on Wifi details, it shows no mac address.

I still have one of the boxes with original firmware working great.

What can I do now to get the this rom working?

I use the very same ROM build, works like a charm on my Android TV devices, no wifi, Bluetooth issues ... When using a wired connection, do you have a mac address ...? If I were you, I would reinstall the ROM build ....

Yes, wired connection works. I get ip and I'm able to surf the web.

I also tried to re-install the rom a couple of times, and other roms to. Also erased nand 4 times before installing new roms.

How can i check if my hardware if different from the rest?

I was think about that too, your device maybe different in some way ... Where did you purchase the device ...? Also this maybe your original ROM build found here http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p..._Wizard_Smooth ...

I'm currently with that rom and the problem persists.

surely I wrote with cs968 came out with new chips

New chip? hmmm..

I asked the supplier for the firmware they used.

Since I sill have a working device with stock firmware, is there a simple way to copy this firmware and install it on the other device?

Also using the working unit, how can I see what chip it has?

I bring a mini pc and speaking with you the new chip because other software does not work with the wifi card.

Does it work very well on the CS968 ....? Also is it a 1080p ROM build ...?
