I am new to this forum and finally took the plunge to register as with all my internet searches today. This forum kept coming up trumps as probably the best place to be.
I am not massively into Android - yet - but probably soon will be.
I purchased what was boxed as an MK809II early last year and it has sat in its box for one reason and another.
Anyway, I have unboxed it today and have a question.
It is showing as an MK806B. I have had a good read around (on your forum and other sites) prior to registering and I am not concerned about that but...
I have installed XBMC 12.3 from xbmc.org and it opened, said it was doing first run and now simply has a black screen.
As I am into tinkering, which ROM would anyone recommend for my device. I appreciate you are probably going to need more information from me.

I have pumped those numbers into the internet and not much wiser.
I am experienced with flashing and the like so not afraid of that but I am afraid of which file to use.
I keep seeing Finless mentioned and the like.
Any advice would be appreciated
Also, I am happy to run at 720p as I understand a dual core will not like 1080p.
I found some random roms on the net but the files no longer existed.
