    Windows 8.1

Okay I know there are several threads that have the latest drivers for Rockchip batch tool and RKAndroidtool.exe that is included with these roms. I used my fathers laptop when I was visiting them over the holiday to flash QuickShot and was working great. But I'm a flashaholic and can't leave well enough alone. I recently tried and installed the Xstreamer firmware cause I was curious about it. I had to change a bunch of things to get the Rockchip_batch_tool v1.7 to flash that firmware. I played around with it for a bit and will no longer connect to wifi. So I am wanting to install QuickShot again but here is the problem. The RKAndroidTool v1.37 is not working as it did on my fathers laptop that had windows 7. So below will list the steps that I have done so far.

1- Installed Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Mod so that Box would communicate with my laptop on the USB 3.0 ports http://vondroid.com/threads/how-to-m.../#.UtjQbbSQM0E
2- Installed windows 8 x64 drivers from Batch tool v1.7
3- I modified the setting.ini file (SUPPORTUSB11=0 to SUPPORTUSB11=1) in Quickshot rom so that the Tool even sees the box, which it does but when attempting to EraseIDB I just get ERROR: Lower format failed.

I am still able to flash ann update.img style firmware with Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7 but with roms that are separated with boot.img kernel.img and system.img..... I cannot use that tool. So wondering if someone knows off the top of their head on how I can get RKAndroidTool v1.37 to work with Windows 8.1 and USB 3.0 or would it be easier to attempt to make Quickshot into a complete Update.img firmware.

Thanks in advance to a reply on this.

Used that tool to make Quickshot into a firmware.img and flashed it.

The newer Roms that have loader 2.08.bin are working just fine with RKAndroidTool v1.37. But if the loader is v1.24 it does not work with Windows 8.1 and usb 3.0.
