Prometheus pairinf with rii mini keyboard

    Hello from the noob !

I bought a rii mini keyboard which is supposed to be paired with its USB dongle plugged in the Prometheus and nothnig happens like requesting a pair code to type like on computers.

As it is first time I'm doing this with an Android TV Player, does anyone to be kind to explain me simply how to manage this pairing please?

    thank you very much

Does it work with a computer? If so, it's already paired, but not working on the Prometheus for some reason.

If it doesn't work with a computer, the rii website says to pair:

1: plug the new dongle in pc usb port, power on the keyboard
2: the yellow led flashing, after 30 seconds, the yellow led should be stop flashing and the green led lighting.

if the yellow led flashing more than 60 seconds, please repeat step1 and step2.
    step3: power off the keyboard.
    step4: press F1
step5: power on the keyboard and release F1 immediately. Watching the yellow LED state
step6: Waiting 30 seconds, if the yellow led stop flashing and all LED is steady, the match is successful. Please power off and then power on to use.
if the yellow led flashing more than 60 second, please repeat step3 to step6

      Hello Cde,

The keyboard works well with computers (Windows&MacOs) and this why I asked some help concerning pairing with Android because I think keyboard is working just fine.

The pairing is done by the dongle, the OS never gets involved. Once the keyboard is paired, it shouldn't matter where you move it.

Try this. You need shell access or adb. Run "logcat -c" then "logcat". Plug in the dongle. See if there is any message about "keylayoutmap" or "input event". There should be some message regarding the keyboard. Or you could find unknown device or similar.

If that doesn't work, run "lsusb" to see if it is recognized. You should get a list of at least 4 or 5 usb vidid codes (Two root hubs, a gl850 hub, and a wifi device, plus whatever else you have plugged in) and post them here.
