recovery mode on my MK808

do you know how restore my google tv?

Flash this rom with the included tool and read the readme.

You have to push a paperclip into the hole above the blue light, while holding it in, connect the usb cable to your pc. The usb cable also has to be plugged into the OGT port of the MK808 and not the power usb port. Do all this after you opened the flash tool and then select erase IDB and then flash in the flash tool.

ok.. so.. i did all that you mentioned... but now i have another problem

After flash the new rom, i connect the device on my tv by the hdmi port, but... the tv doesn't recognize.

I mean, nothing happen in the tv, I can't see anything.

I tried in different hdmi port and I tried to replicate the process a few time, but never worked.

Can you help me?

That's a common problem with Finless 2.1. It seems like your TV is incompatible to the resolution that this rom delivers. Try another rom like Finless 1.7 or Hybryd FW.

I am almost certain that I tried Finless 1.7 at one time and found that it also suffers from the same problem. There is a post where someone said the same thing:

I was having problems getting 1.7 beta installed on my original mk808. when I would reboot on my older 720p TV there was no image. after flashing several times I was about to go back to 1.6 ROM when I thought I would check the HDMI display setting. it was set at 1080p even though I flashed your default for 720p.

is it possible that your 1.7 default has the display set at 1080p in settings? this could cause problems for users with 720p max display at first boot.

I didn't have very good wifi performance (even with the device right next to the router?) with Hybryd firmware. You can still download it and use it to at least get a picture on your screen, but I would suggest setting up clockworkmod and flash a new rom through that if you also have wifi trouble.

sorry for bumping thread but i have almost the same problem with my mk809II
i have accidentally rebooted to recovery mode and and it has stuck there
If i plug a usb keyboard could it work to just press reboot system now

I have no experience with stock recovery, but many people say that it does not recognise any usb keyboards which makes it impssible to reboot. I guess it would reboot to android again if you flashed a misc.img from any rom, or if you flashed a recovery.img that contains clockworkmod (in cwm you can use your usb device to reboot).

Then flash the misc.img of this rom. Simply uncheck everything but misc.img in the flash tool and flash it without pressing "Erase NAND (IDB)" first.

i can't flash anything cuz it doesnt boot on flash mode but it stays in recovery mode even if i press the restore button

Fladh complete rom from pc and do erase idb then you should be up and running again.
