Is charging switch off after red light turns yellow ?

Is there harm in overcharging if a.c. adapter is plugged in for long periods of time after the red light turns yellow ? Or does it automatically stop charging once it turns yellow ?

Can't be certain, but I believe you are correct that the charging switches off when the light changes color. I think it should be safe to leave these plugged in.
