    Pipo M9 Pro Battery duration

    Hi.

I'm testing the different ROM's for my M9 pro 3G. I ended up installing the original one just to see if the problems found with the custom ones were also on the it.

Using GSam App I'm checking battery duration.

This is an screenshot from today's activity.

Is this normal? Is my tablet faulty?

No deep sleep at all, and battery draining on standby.

    Any suggestion?

    Hi

As usual for that kind of problem, you have to look at Wakelock and you will find some drivers that block th pad to go deep sleep.

FYI I know that hym358 or something like that is fualty on the pad at waklock level I have that problem on stock ROM. Now it seems solved but I'm not sure how as I flash KitKat ROM and applied a patch to the .so files faulty with Arctool.

      Thanks for answering.

Do you have DS problems with KK?

These are some new screenshots. Charged battery, and the rebooted it.

      29% doing nothing...
Don't know what ROM to test now.
Maybe KK, just to see how it feels...

          Deep Sleep.
As you can see on CPU Spy screenshot, it never goes to deep sleep when on stand by.

          How to check kernel wakelock?

          Here is the kernel wakelock

It seems that it's the 3G...

            Ah, OK,

Not real feedback data from now, as I installed rom and patch for Kernel Wakelock 2 days ago.

Meanwhile, my pad was full loaded wednesday in the evening, and since, I look 1hour video, setup and install a lot of app including cerveral around 2Gb games from market and here almost 48h later I have 38% left.

To check kernel Wakelock instal app I mentionned from XDA forum (or market but you have to pay for it is free from xda but you have to register before)

The kernel wakelock from GSam app. It's a very good one, also...

              It's 3G data.

I'll install Arctools to apply the patch and see how it behaves.

Yes, it is the ril_rk29 that drain battery.

Did you have 3G version cause me I have only WIFI and the problem is the same.

                  Yep. 3G version.

I've d'led and installed arctools. I've run first option, the script that patches ril_rk29 file.
Next thing I want to try is removing 3G SIM, to see how it affects.

it is not linked to sim card as I have not and I had the battery drain related.

But what I wasn't able to say is if problem it solves for me (no sufficient background yet), and if yes, is because I have upgraded rom or applied arctool patch or both.

But let test and see what happened in 2-3 charges more

                      Merci beaucoup!

Hope you don't mind to keep posting your results on this thread.
I'll do the same with mine.
Have you done a battery calibration after installing?
                      Deleted caches?

                        De rien

No calibration battery, it is bullsheet and unusefull
Cache was deleted automatically after restoring new rom.

This noon I look at a 50 minutes videofiles play a little played game and I'm à 19%, I think, if we have no wakelock, of course, that battery life will be very good on this pad comparing to my previous one, but in the same time, on m'y previous one, I'm not sure the battery information was very accurate. Sometime I have 50% reboot and goes down 5% or I have 14% plug AC power and see 40% immediately...So, it was very strange strange.

I install your app to check battery, look nicer than better battery stats.

Please, also report if it always wakes up after being on standby for a while.

Just to give a mid run feedback.

Full charge on friday night, letting the tablet on rest almost all week end and I'm now at 69% left, better battery stats give 0.5% battery use by hour, pretty good value.

Getting tablet out of stand by get 2 push on the button, if table sleeping for a while. I read somewhere that is it a sort of security to avoid to awke pad by error.

                              Bonjour!

So you say that you need to push twice to wake up tablet from a long deep sleep?
                              I'll test.
I don't know the reason, but it seems that changing from wifi while sleeping doesn't feel well to the tablet.
I've removed SIM card to see how it affects.

Yesterday I had been playing Hay Day. I don't know how CPU intensive is this game. Just a farm...

It's like 2 hours and a half playing this game until the battery is depleted.
Don't know how good/bad is this.

Playing about 1 meter away from router, full strength. 65 Mbps.
