Calendar Sync Issue 701i w/ LiquidLimez fix
701i, stock ICS, LiquidLimez's Market and Gapps. I have not been able to get the default calendar app to sync with my Google calendar (notr will it allow me to enter anything. Long story short, the app seems to have my gmail account listed, but if I tap on that account under "settings" I just get an empty right hand section of the screen with a message saying "no Calendars." It wont let me set up an"existing" account or a new account giving me various errors when I try to set up a calendar like "that account already exists on this device" or "that name is already taken." I deleted the app data and tried to start from scratch again, but the app seems to automatically recognize my gmail identity from initial log in on the mail app. Now, I do notice that after loading the Gapps, I now have the original, generic Android mail app as well as a Gmail app on my Tab, both of which correctly sync to my gmail account. Could this be the problem with calendar, that the two mail apps are somehow getting Calendar confused? I believe I will have to root to delete the Gmail app to remove one to test this theory, but surely I am not the first one to run into this. I've tried a 3rd party app, but if I try to schedule something in that app, it tells me "No active writable calendar found. Cannot create event." I'm suspicious of changes that LiquidLimez' fix may have introduced. Anyone else have this problem? a solution?Tags: None

I will reflash and manually install the gapps as I did before, which worked.Jim

I have found that if you manually install the Market first, this run his script, it does not break the calendar, and you still get Maps and Nav (which is kinda useless without a GPS), and many other things, plus some bluetooth settings in Settings, which I am not sure why. However, the important thing is, the Calendar is syncing now.Jim

Delete just Market first?

I could reinstall a clean 701i system first, but I hope that isn't necessary cause my other apps would need to be added again.Jim

Calendar Sync problem
Anyone find a fix for this issue yet?
I too have encountered this. I did a fresh flash reload of my tablet PMID701i X10
After the reload, I loaded the following....
Amazon App store
Kindle app for android
Then I loaded LiquidLimez's fix for Google Market.
Logged into the market (Which required I load my Google account info now....)
Loaded Flashplayer
Then I went into my Calendar. Just as described before. My account shows but it lists "No calendars" on the right side. I know that my account is correct because the Google market added my GMail account and all my emails there synced automatically.....
This is frustrating and hopefully someone might find a fix? I do know that it has to be tied to the installation of the Google Market fix because in the past.... It did work for me. I noticed it broke AFTER the Google Market fix load.

If I read it right...
In step 3 he mentions doing a manual install of the Market after a fresh flash before uning the Limez script. I would assume that might be something like the N4RPS method (which is the way I have always done it) as seen here in post #1:
http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...arket-and-more!
Now as I just mentioned in another thread I have not tried the Limez script yet at all, though I will likely be giving it a go here in the near future as my Nephew and his tablet are supposed to be making a stop by this weekend to work on a different issue, but it would be nice to get them as useable as I can.
