Two things are for sure, when you purchase a CS968, it will only be a 720p Android TV box and will not be 4K ready, now that's for sure ...!(lol). However, even with CR11s and Neo X7, we end up using using the custom ROM's that you/Neomode/Bob/D33 and many others have built to achieve that "perfection" that we are looking for
.
Would you be making the 4K ready ROM available for Mediatek Wifi/BT modules MT5931 & MT6622 ? I would love to use this!
I want to try this out with my CS968..Tronsmart Orion R68 Meta
CS968 -> HTC_T018 v4 20131216 with MTK

The Ultra-HiDef kernel is from a CR11S 1080p/4K ROM build on your device (CR11S) now, but it will work on earlier built CS968 also with the 6210 WiFi boards ...

My previous understanding was there were 5 versions of CS968/CR11s/TV01
V2 Wi-Fi C: AP6210
V3 Wi-Fi C: AP6210
V3 Wi-Fi C: MediaTek
V4 Wi-Fi C: AP6210
V4 Wi-Fi C: MediaTek
Taken from http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=518154&st=320
Looking around there also seem to be V1 AP6210 boards and obviously 2mp and 5 mp versions.
Mind boggling.
