MK809 III with Mediatek MT6622N and Mediatek 593131SA

    Hi freaktab!

I am a newcomer to the whole mini-mediacenter market, and I have managed to learn how to flash my android stick - everything works and I can flash roms onto the stick succesfully.

I first tried to flash my MK809 III with the AP ROM from Neomode (thanks for your work!) - WiFi didn't work though. I opened up the mediacenter and noticed it was a Mediatek MT6622N and Mediatek 593131SA WiFi chip. I then tried the "OLD WIFI" ROM from Neomode, but still no WiFi.

I noticed the chip is a Rockchip RK3188T - the throttled one. Guess I was unlucky at this first buy. I can't find any roms for my MK809 III with drivers for the Mediatek WiFi chip. How can I get it to work? Do I need another kernel or how do I do this? I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks for a forum like this!

    Best regards,
    MKMutual.

Anybody know how to find a stock rom?? Is the only solution to buy an identical one, make a backup of the stock rom and then flash my broken one with that firmware? Then I have two MK809 iii's but at least they both work.

Judging from the lack of replies on my thread it looks like this MK809 iii-version is new. But guys, I have a feeling that this version with the 3188-T chip and the Mediatek network chip might become the next standard version after the MK809 iii with 3188 chip and AP6210 network chip.

    We'll see.

      same problem here

dear MKMutual, I encountered the same problem as you...
I've lost my wifi and bt connections after the first custom rom flash (finless 1.7 downloaded here)
At the moment still no fixes. I don't know if it's a new version or older than the one with ap6220 microchip... As you can see here http://www.ugoos.tv/ there are 2 different versions, one of that is with MTK chip, that seems to be our mediatek, even if I'm not sure...

By the way I've tried the firmware linked on the ugoos page but still no WIFI and BT working...

Please if you have any other information keep me up to date, maybe we will find a solution together.

      many thanks
      Riki
