    Live us tv.

hi, i know they must be out there. i'm trying to cut the cord on my dish network account atleast the us channels, it's funny i can find chinese channels (live tv) easily but trying to find a program for us channels (a good one ) so i can cut he cord and save money is becoming dificult. i mean i use 1 channel for google tv alot but nothing live all recorded stuff, also have xbmc , but thats way too advanced for wife ,kids and mother-inlaw.

was hoping some one know a good program that works easily for us tv.

    devices i have

    asus google tv
    vizio co-star
    logitech google tv,
    minix neo x7
    imito mx1
also have 4 rokus throught the house,

don't get me wrong, i for one do not need dish at allconcidering everything i have , but unless i can find an easy sutible replacement with channels like , hgtv, lifetime, disney channel, nicklelodeon ect. my wife would not have any part of me changeing it.

Thanks to all your cable companies.

USTVNOW, but it's a paid montly subscription and has an XBMC plugin and TV Guide.
USTV from Google Play store, but I see it has been removed.
If you're into sports, you can try - http://streamtvbox.com/site/sports-schedule/ also a paid subscription.
Filmon is also nice for non mainstream channels.
NTV.mx, but it's for UK channels and there might be a time difference.

I believe that was me that said I am having trouble with the HD signal through my 3188. The standard definition channels work great. If you have not already, purchase a cheap set of rabbit ears, or you may have some already laying around, and hook up to your tv's coaxial port. You may be surprised at the number of channels you can receive. In my area near detroit, I have about 50 channels to watch. I watched the presidents talk last night in high definition using my antenna going through my TV01 (rockchip 3188), it was a little jerky but acceptable. The colors and sound were awesome. I do have an ota dvr that I usually watch tv with, but I didn't want to switch to that device from my TV01.

na i know what already i need to buy an external antenna cause cause there are only 2 stations near buy, both ion, locals are about 35-60 miles out. that's why i am looking for the alternative. i will put an antenna up on the house if needed , but with all the android devices i have i was hoping for an easier solution,

                asus cube
                vizio co-star
                logitech revue
                minix mx7
                imito mx1
                4 rokus.

i figured with all this i would be in luck.
also i know about USTVNOW but
                1 it's too expensive
2 you need to live outside the us.

did you check http://www.antennaweb.org/ to see what channels are available with an outside antenna and what direction and distance? I set up my external antenna about 4 years ago and there weren't that many channels available. Today, there are a lot of channels. It seems that most of the channels have increased their power, and most of them have added several sub channels. I have a synology NAS with all my media files on it and also a program (dvblink) for streaming my local TV shows. I use XBMC on my android TV devices and with the dvblink plug in, I have full TV listings just like a dvr from Comcast or other tv providers. I have an HDHomerun over the air tuner (ota) that is on my network, and that is where I get my streams from.

Add more tuners as you need them. Just add them to your network and use XBMC to view them.
