Compass Reliable on Pipo Tablet ?

    hello,

Have you tested the compass on your tablet Pipo?

I would like to use Google Sky Map application on my M8HD (wifi only).

And indeed it loses the north!

Someone has achieved this on a Pipo tablet ?

As soon as I turn the tablet, the sky turns as it does not on my smartphone after calibrating the compass (make eight)

If someone has an idea I'm interested.

Even with a compass app: this is not correct, north turns as you turn the tablet and the noth is not so realiable as with my smartphone or Nexus 7!

The gyroscope is working in games even if with z device, it seems very fluctuating

    thank you

I think the problem is due to the type magnetic speakers used. Magnetic fields are not compatible with compass. The compass on my iPhone works well but if I put it near the m6pro speakers it also goes silly. I find I can pick up a small metal object like a staple from the magnetic field on back of tablet.

Sent from my m6pro running Riley ROM 1.7 KitKat

Probably could be useful to open the tablet and cover the back of the speakers with metal to reduce the magnetic field influence...

              compass calibrtion

Before you can use the electronic compass on your tablet you need to calibrate it first. This is very easy just hold it in front of you and rotate it 360 degrees on the three axes. So flip it, spin it, and cartwheel it. Magic- the compass now works!

There are many youtube videos showing the quick and dirty "figure 8" version of this.

For a nice compass app try Field Compass by Chartcross.

There is no magic for my tablet. Calibration not help.
