    MCE remote support in X7?

Currently I still have a htpc with xbmcubuntu running on which a philips MCE remote is connected (with an USB IR receiver).
I was able to configure the right remote through lirc in linux but don't know if it exists for android.
I'm just wondering is this kind of remote still supported in minix?

    Anyone have an idea?

I don't think the android IR is the same specification as MCE IR remotes but the MCE IR USB Dongle works pretty good, that's all I use

Did you had to do anything?
I currently have this one: http://www.****.com/itm/Philips-MCE-...-/251231648263
But when I add it, in dmesg it pops up as a usb device but nothing indicating it as an IR device.
Perhaps certain packages or modules (lirc) are missing in android?

It just worked, I think your Philips MCE will work fine too (though you might not have mouse functions). The X7 sees it as a USB Device so that's OK. Make sure the Philips MCE remote is in PC mode and you might have to press "number lock" on the remote to shift through Philip MCE remote keyboard functions.

If Philips MCE USB receiver does not work plugged into Minix X7 USB Port, you can plug the Philips MCE IR USB into a PC to verify its working

          I got this
