Minix X7 question - Keyboard and mouse usb rf

    Hi Everyone,

i am considering buying the Minix x7 after my daughters computer blew up and i had to give her my laptop that i was using to run xbmc on my tv!

i was wondering if anyone has connected kb/mouse devices like to it and if it went well and worked fine? i am sure it will be alright, it is mostly for interaction in xbmc and typing stuff in there.

Here is my kb i use at home for my tv devices: http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/produc...keyboard-k400r

please let me know any feedback is appreciated!

    thanks
    mike

It is the Logitech K400r i use with my Neo X7. Works fine. No real issues with it. On every ROM apart from the one i am currently trying the right mouse button acts as BACK key other than that all is good with it. I'm currenty running KitKat ROM by Strauzo.

The thing is, k400 is even supported on PS3, i even connected it to a smart tv, it worked. There is something about it that seems to give it universal support, not sure if it's a reliable reference point, but hey, kit kat now can detect hardware keyboards as "hardware" and that is progress.

        Hey

Thanks for the imput! What about devices ? you guys suggest any thing orther than minix x7? they have it at newegg for about 135$

i got screwed spending 120$ once on a rikomagic, one of the first editions, it really didnt live up to what i was expecting. all the reviews of the x7 are all really good so i am hoping that it lives up to the hype!

cause i can prety much build a small htpc for arount the same price! http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16813157228

Honestly, they are so similar that the fakes are confusignly stable.

You seem to be early in the game, that is one mistake i did not do. The sticks just didn't pass my common sense, especially towards heat. When the boxes came out, that was when i started to ease up a bit and thought that they should have a stable community by now.

Well, nope. Bought the X7 as soon as a 4.2 device came out, but was disappointed to see the lack of response from the manufacturers, and yet i was having the best supported box. But the community outgrew itself, it even stopped me from selling it.

You are not going to have something long-term stable, the least you can do is understand how to actually make it stable, but that is time consuming (up to a point).

It is up to you, but be aware that you will flash a lot :P.

I have that keyboard and it works well. I keep finding more keys that have functions, the left and right arrow keys work for forward and reverse in mxplayer but not the forward and back along the top although pause that is gruoped there works. Oh and once I figured out to press the mouse button in upper left corner then swipe the touchpad to scroll it was great.

Beware, rf devices tend to crash the X7.
                Safer to stick to bluetooth.
