    Has development stopped?

It seems like wasser and lewy has stopped working on the box - maybe I'm wrong..?

I would really like to know if development has stopped as I will then stop recommending the box to people looking for Android boxes.

I guess I can answer that myself as I can see both wasser and levy posted firmwares for the Minix X7 later than any new ones for the K-R42...

They have a lot of devices to support mate and they rotate between them.

If you want something new to try give my Beyond XBMC a go which is available over on the Minix x7 thread. It will work fine here as my main machine is a K-R42 which I test it on.

No mate. It is not a firmware it is just a custom version of XBMC that has full hardware support for HD playback and a custom setup with customizable skin etc.

It depends on what your ro.product.model is set to in the rom you use.

If you read the instructions in the thread it tells you how to find out.

Nice interface but no passthrough for me

                Hello, I tried beyond xbmc.
the user interface is very nice, but I haven't found parameters to select HDMI Audio Passthrough.

I hope a later version will allow this fonctionality.

It is there but I don't know what you select to use it as I don't use it myself. Also your rom must have a patched libmedia for it to work.

My rom has the patch, and I have no problem to get 5.1 passthrough with jusxbmc apk.

But in your version I haven't found where I can select HDMI passthrou in the iinterface. the originals parameter of XBMC are not availlable.
The version I tried is the nexus one.

hi Monstro - I wonder if you've found any solution to this problem?

I also have a K-R42 and I'm trying to get passthrough to work for SPDIF. I have the latest Lewy ROM installed and I have 5.1 passthrough, just not in XBMC. It does work in Plex and in MX Player.

I found this thread: http://minixforums.com/threads/how-t...nd-spdif.2041/ which talks about needing both a patched libmedia as well as a hack to the AESinkAUDIOTRACK.cpp code to enable the workaround. Not sure if that's the solution to our issue or not...
