    reincarnate MK808 DVI/HDMI

    Hello

I have had an unfortunate happening
Recently plugged MK808 into a DVI HDMI convertor to use on a monitor (first time).
Instantly the display turned off, & now will not work on my tv as it was,
There is no display, but blue light still comes on.

Have flashed Bobs 2.1 rom with no errors, using recovery button.
Also tried Bobs unbrick nand, Still no display...
Iv fixed electronic equipment before so I dont want to give up.

Anyway I hope someone can make sence of this and give me an answer, or even an idea.

    Thanks
    Chris

That sounds really bad. Maybe you fried your HDMI chip with this adapter. The only thing i can think of that you can try is this: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?1943-Unbrick-or-fix-NAND-on-the-MK808
Although it seems unlikely that your NAND got corrupted by using a HDMI/DVI converter...

yes pretty unfortunate, I was sort of thinking fried something!
I have tried to fix nand unbrick thing, all goes well says the log, but still no output.

Hmm wondering how I could still fix this, where to look or test what with multimeter.
What options are there, Im sure rest of the stick has some potential.

I had my tablet plugged into monitor with the converter and displayed pinkish so I tried the stick.
Probably shouldnt have, great the tablet still runs though.
I guess you dont know until ya give it a go, but who would expect a simple converter to do this, or maybe moniter back powered stick through hdmi.
Another thing the vgi adapter is 24pin plus 5, the 4 extra pins are for data transfer or something.
