pipom8pro, fresh installation - system space just little above 500mb?

    hi,

today i looked with titanium backup what apps i can restore from my old tablet, and one thing cauhgt my attention.

after flashing pipo with 2.1.2 ryley's rom, TB showed that system rom has only 542mb of space?!

did i do something wrong, or that is that, and can't be enlarged? now i must convert some bigger apps to user and give system some space to "breath". this is little bit dissapointing thing.

    thanks!

    viki

EDIT: chrome and gmail i can uninstall, but after reinstallation, they are still under system apps? that's never happened before on any device? what is going on?
those two did with smal utility called system app mover

That should be about right for the system size. Your apps actually go in the userdata partition which should be 2 4 6 or 8gb depending on the parameter file you flashed.

hm, so there is nothing to do? for userdata partition, i'm aware what it mean. and i'm very pleased with that because i do nt need to use some link2sd or similar apps. just install-no brainer.

but, as i wrote, when i opened TB, i tryed to "integrate updates to of system files to ROM". and after few seconds, error message showed - "not enough memory"?! WTF?! it is clean tablet, nothing much installed, less than 10 apps. and then i go back to first page of TB, and i have something to see - system rom - 540mb, available 12mb... so, what now? i started to converting all unnecessary apps to user, and then from 10-15 "my" apps, i got over 30 with all wallpapers, calendars etc.

on my last tablet, that was newer issue. it was on ICS, maybe that was "problem". i do not know. for now, i'm cleared up to 100meg free space. i'll see how it will work in next days. it is easy to get it back to original state.

and, yes, one Q: in CWM, which is installed right after installing rom - how to navigate trough menus? i used external kb which i'm using for my android tv box. is there some other solution or not?

      thanks!

You're right, there isn't much room left in the system.img for adding system apps. You must add the apps as user apps.

ok, now i'm aware of that and no problem at all.

but, you didn't tell me what about CWM navigation? any keys combos or external keyboard only?

          thanks!

On my M8 Pro, the touch screen works in CWM. If your's doesn't you can try an external mouse/keyboard.

EDIT: now i tryed to enter cwm. direct press on function doesn't work. but, scrolling left, right, up, down works. it's little bit strange pulling "on blind", but, ok, great, it works!

              thanks!
