Question - ROM 2.0 for Arnova 10 G2 about to be released

    Light SENSOR?

    I never even knew this thing even had one! Guess i've been too busy playing with the mods to notice. Bob i hope all is well on the home front, and as always you know im looking forward to the newest creation thanks! (I even went to big lots today a got a fresh sd card in anticipation for it!)

      The 10G2 "looks" like it has a light sensor but it does not. This is because of the white square above the camera lens. Put the charge plug in the Tab and turn off all the light. You can see the red or green LED shining through the white plastic area where the light sensor "should be". It's not there.

      The camera APP adjusts the camera for lighting in software. So the camera "can be" a light sensor. But the Tab itslef does not have it's own.

        Thanks for clerification on that Bob, I know that your probably tired by now of people askin' but, is 2.0 going to see the pages of freaktab tonight? (I've been forcing myself to stay awake just in case you release it!)

              Well I'm working here in uk till around 10pm so will login see if 2.0 is ready..as I seem to have flash problems with the other version ours of sync with bbc iplayer using 10.3 as 11 doesn't work..does flash 11 work with V 2.0 bob?

                Yes flash 11 is working on 2.0. However having tested the 10.3 and 11, I find 10.3 performs better. Just my opinion as the performance difference is very subtle. But like my 1.5 ROM flash 11 works.

                App injector will provide 10.3 but you can upgrade to 11 from the market.

                  Thats kinda odd that flash player 11 doesnt work on your tab, because it works just fine on mines and some of my friends have the same tab no problems there with it either.

                    He maybe on my old 1.4 ROM? We all know 1.5 ROM flash 11 works. At least for the 10G2

                        Cant speak for my mod to Morka's ROM but if it does work, cant help. My 1.5 ROM works and this 2.0 works with flash 11.

                          In reference to GadgetUK problem

                          I don't know if this helps Gadgetuk but I am running a G10 2 which I bought from Maplins 2 weeks ago, I flashed it yesterday with the 1.5c ROM supplied by Bob on this site and downloaded flahsplayer 11 and can confirm that it works perfectly, I'm obviously also in the UK. Maybe a re-flash might help? (Be aware though that I am a noob at this stuff lol).


                          I would like to just say that Bob, your 1.5c ROM is amazing and you are a complete legend. The Arnova is so fast and reactive now. VERY VERY impressed, I can only imagine what 2.0 is going to be like my friend.

                            Well guys.... sorry for the promise to get this ROm out today.

                            It is pretty much ready and I would only need about 1-2 hours to finish up the package and get it uploaded to the server.

                            However I just got yet another call from the hospital. The good news is my Dad improved a lot yesterday and today. So they are releasing him. Seems a little early to me as I think one more day in there would be best but the Docs all say they want to release him.

                            So I need to leave and go pick him up and take him home and stay with him for a long while to be sure all is OK. So no ROM today folks. Sorry.
