Anyone else having this WiFi Issue?

I got this Pill M9 Pro a couple of months ago. It works much better with Finless 1.5. The last couple of weeks it has begun issue where WiFi drops to 5mbps speed all the time. It starts out @ 54 Mbps, then it starts to drop to 5mbps. I turn WiFi off then back on and it works fine for a few minutes then it drops out to nothing. I even tried it sitting next to the router. It's like it overheats maybe? I should have sent this back when I could. A friend gave me his old Mid 806 and it will stream audio for hours @ 54 Mbps. Even my old laptop runs fine @ 54 Mbps. all day long with no speed dropout.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Probably that good old internal antenna issue. You have to open it and tweak the antenna.

I sure hate to risk glass breakage It may be my only solution. I'm tweaking some router settings first. I have 8 or 9 neighbors with signals as strong as mine to consider. The channels are all full.
        Thanks,
        Phil

Well,do you mean the speed drops to Zero or the signal drops to zero. Two different things.

The tablet is getting 4 bars but the WiFi link speed shows 2 mbps sometimes 1mbps. I have no internet traffic at those speeds. Web pages won't load no email either. If I reset the tablet WiFi on/off, it will reconnect at 54 mbps. for a few minutes, then the link speed will dropout again.
It's working better today, I changed my router channel from 11 to 8, there are signals from 4 neighbors all on channel 11 real close to me. I hope it helps being on 8.
            Thanks,
            Phil
