Is this CX 919? I'm confused...

Hi everyone. I bought this box from ****, and I'm having some issues with it, so I'd like to know if this is actually it. The seller is called BlueTimes, and it says "Quad core BT919" on it. Here is the **** link, so you can see the pictures. I Googled BT919, and I received a bunch of information about CX, and it looks a lot like my box, except mine has 2 antennas.

If so, are there any ROMs which are compatible with this particular submodel? As I said, I'm not nearly satisfied with it, it is terrible! Everything lags, except SD videos.

This is a cx-919ii As far as i know, there are two version of CX-919II, one is AP6210 wifi module, the other is AP6330 wifi module

Oh, that sounds promising! Can you tell me how do I know which model is mine? And could you tell me, if this box is actually any good with custom ROMs? Since at the moment, not being able to play a 720p video smoothly makes me want to return it instantnly

The only way to tell weather you have a ap6210 or a ap6330 is to take it apart & look at the wifi chip

if you look around freaktab for a cx-919ii or a j22 rom you should find something but if im honest i don't think theres much support for them the cx919 is much better supported & a great stick,,sorry for the bad news

Oh & this bob guy (Finless) is the main man on hear (freaktab owner) & he makes shed loads of custom roms he no's his stuff alright,,

That helped. I can't however figure out how to actually flash the ROM. I searched but didn't find any useful links. Could you help me out again? Thanks

hears the instructions from one of finless roms

The onle hard thing about flashing a rom is installing the drivers thats needed on your pc. if you have windows xp its easy ,windows 7 easy.windows8 night mare unless your verry very lucky just follow finless bobs steps & you should be fine oh & make sure you use a usb2 port on your pc not usb3

It was going well, until I pressed Flash before Erase and now it's bricked. I opened it, holding the needle and ready. However
1. Which pins should I short?
2. How do I know I'm actually "shorting" them?
3. I should be holding them, and plug the cable in, when Windows says it's in, I push "Flash ROM" in the toolkit?

Update: did it! However, it turns out Windows 8.1 is dumb. Halfway through the update process, it reboots the device, after which Windows no longer recognizes it. The update failed. Now it just says it is an unknown device, and for some reason I can't reinstall drivers from Device Manager since it tells me that the best driver is already installed (it says it's an unknown device) I Googled, however found no way to override it.

Try a <=win7 machine, win8x drivers are flawed ...
