pls help.. need rom for this version of MK809IV

Hi, I recently bought this device. I got it, unpack it, tried it for 5 minutes, then decided to install a custom rom, the stock rom was very bad.

But every working rom I have tried I cannot get wifi to work.

Now I am unable to find a rom with a working wifi. I think I tried almost every rom on this forum.

Oh.. and the stock rom is no where to be found.

Any help is greatly appreciated

thanks blinkone, I tried that kernel too but wifi still doesn't work for me.

any other suggestions, anyone?

I tried to find out what is going on by looking at the dmesg output. I can see is that the system is trying to power up the wifi and fails. Maybe someone can figure out why this is happening?

hmm

Even if you get wifi working, i would still recommend using a usb-ethernet adapter, because wifi transfer speeds is really slow.

unfortunately i can not use cables

is the wifi performace of this device so bad? I want to use it for xbmc streams only...

I would greatly appreciate if anyone knows where i can find the stock rom

I've just picked up one of these too.
Wifi seems fine on mine.

Just need to figure out how to root it.

Worked a treat - thanks.
Downloaded and unzipped to the internal memory's root, rebooted and up popped an 'Update?' dialogue; easy-peasy.

i try flash many different firmware - and some not work WIFI some not work sound
