    CX919 extremely slow

    Hi,

I bought a CX919 with a K400 keyboard. Laggy as hell, unusable. Flashed it with finless 2.0 BETA using
kernel_1080oc_cpu1608h_gpu600h_ddr667 and now it is a little bit smoother but still slow. And wifi is garbage. I have tried downloading stuff from google play and it seems to download at 5 KB/S. Chrome is still at 1% despite I started downloading it 5 min ago...

I have a 12 Mb connection so it should peak at 1MB/S. If I get 300KB/S it would be enoght for me, but internet is now useless. I can't even watch a youtube video.

Any ideas what should I do?

    thank you a lot.

      I'll try it.

Noob question: Should I use the same kernel or this is a big mistake and should I download kernels designed for that rom?

      should I use this kernel?

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

you must use rom's kernel... i'm using neo 2.0 with 1.9a 720p ROM because 2.0 is only with 1080p kernel, but without overclocking 1080p kernel is little bit laggy.

Ok, flashed neo rom 1.9a with this kernel

          19aKernel_CPU1608_GPU798_RAM800_1080p

it still sucks, but a bit less

keyboard and mouse is much smoother, that problem is gone. But wifi still is damn slow...youtube videos and soundcloud songs don't even load.

Any idea? Could it be hardware a related problem?

          thank you a lot

            that's why i'm not using 1080p rom... i don't like lags...

at the moment i'm using NEO 2.0 + this kernel http://www.mediafire.com/download/s0...AM800_720p.img only thing is that it seems that BT is not working, otherwise my favorit combo at the moment...

alright but what has fps drops to do with wifi slow speed?

              i'll try that kernel later

              thanks!

ok, I tried that kernel, now keyboard works OK, smoother, that problem is solved.

however WIFI is not working. It connects with the router, gets an IP, etc, but I can't even connect to the playstore, pages wont load...

Also, suddenly everything froze and I had to physically disconnect power cord so I could reset it.

Any ideas? Could it be hardware related?

                  Thank you very much!

edit: Rebooted and wifi somehow worked. Managed to login to google play and load youtube but the video won't load. And less than 5 minutes after boot...it froze, and rebooted.

The device is warm, it's not even hot.

                  I'm out of ideas...

UPDATE: I bypassed my reciever and connected it directly to the TV. It seems that wifi improved. My reciever is an Onkyo 509, and the stick rests at it's side.

Link speed at wifi settings is 6 Mbps, is there a way to increase it o that's hardware related? My Samsung I9300 (S3) shows a 26 Mbps link speed.

This is my now average speed.

And this is what I get in my phone:

I find it weird that despite upload speed is the same, download is drastically decreased in my stick.

Also, if I put my phone next to the stick and run speedtest, the wifi jams and it fails. Dunno if that's supposed to happen.

Anyway, I think the reciever worked as a faraday cage (just kidding) and somehow jammed my sticks wifi. I'll buy an HDMI extension and place it in a better place. Nevertheless, I still would like to improve my download speed.

                    Thanks!

I had same problem with over clocked KitKat ROM, but WiFi started to drop speed after 15min of watching xbmc or running hard app. Now I'm back on Neomode 1.9a and everything works OK... BTW are you sour that you have cx919 not cx919ll (with 2 external antennas)?

                          It's cx919, one antenna.

Regarding link speed, what's yours? You may check it under the wifi settings by holding click on your connection, advanced settings. Mine shows 6 MBPS and i'm pretty sure that's the problem, because that's the maximum speed the wifi adapter establishes with my router, therefore local lan transmission will never be above 6 Mbps, neither will internet speed. (that explains 0,5 MB/s speedtests results)
