Help identifying rk3188 tablet - Is it a V8Pro? IPPO V10? etc etc - Hardware pics attached

Hi

Ive just got an rk3188 tab and its performance is rubbish (I bought a SCAM model, but, I got my money back and got to keep the tablet so RESULT ). It gets an Antutu score of 13k and is very slow. Its build.prop says its a Flytouch 10 (which is an allwinner A31! The chip is rk3188 as you can see!)!

I need to identify this tablet and I need help. First off its very distinctive. It has the power and vol on the back NOT the side or top. The only rockchip model I can find is the IPPO V10 or Flytouch 9 but they are rk3066 :

I have attached some pics of the hardware including the ram, which, if im reading this correct is this :

but thats a 4Gb chip! and this has 2?? Can someone explain this to me?

The firmware from the idiots I bought it from is no use as its got bits of everything in it and doesnt work. I dont want to go ahead and flash any rom untill I have more info on the spec of other similar tabs.

Can anyone help me identify these bits so I can see what it REALLY is?

AXP202 is a power regulator
SPD0011M is an LCD controller
Sk Hynix is DDR RAM (2 x 4 Gbit = 1 GByte)

It seems to be a RK3066 design with the CPU 'upgraded'

My suggestion is to extract the ROM using the Android Tool, run the kernel through PHJAnderson's patchomatic and flash back. Increasing the RAM speed to (up to 800 MHz) will make a difference. Generally 720 MHz with .1 increase in voltage seems to work on many tablet kernels.

was thinking the same thing and I tried it last night but it wouldnt boot up. Ive patched again but not 100% sure ive chosen the right gpu table.

It gets me a 1.6 kernel with ddr800 so il try flashing these and see what happens. Im guessing the CPU error is it trying to overclock it to 1.8?

This has been done in windows but i have the tool for linux so ill try it when i boot it up again. I assume it would work better on linux anyway?

I tried it again in linux and it built LOADS of kernels. Ive got CPU up to 1.9! RAM up to 800 and GPU to 7xx(I think). Much better job doing it on linux

The problem is now that im gonna need to choose one and get it into a boot.img so I can flash it and try it. Can anyone recommend the best tool for doing this or is there a way to flash JUST the kernel.img without messing around with the boot.img?

I have the same tablet as the one you have. It has the same main board data (and chipsets RK3066, WIFI5931 and BT6622).
Could you get the firmware? If so, I would be grateful if you could share the link to me.
