Just purchased this box. The stock firmware is a bit buggy and was looking for some roms. Seems like all the roms for this unit do not work correctly. Wifi and Bluetooth are Mediatek MT7601UN and 6622N Lan RTL8201F and the board is a RK3188_BOX_V2.0. The box has nothing on it. The back of the unit says EKB311 ENY Technology Co. Attached are some pictures of the unit. Did anyone get WiFi, Bluetooth, and Lan working with any roms for this unit? Thank you.

That's a new wifi chip on me, not seen it before. No working sources for it in kitkat beta.

Thanks for the quick replies.. The first one is for an RK30 guessing a RK3066 and will not flash with RKBatchtool. The second one flashed fine and runs ok but no Wifi, no BT and no LAN. Any other custom roms flash good and run smoothly but are not fully working. Wifi BT and LAN do not work. Any chance a custom rom can be made for this box? Thank you for any input.

I will try to do a Rom Dump. Have not done this before. Do you need a rom dump or can you work with the firmware package? (Im not a true newbie, but always learning) The stock rom is at this address http://pan.baidu.com/s/1mggA2oS Kind of slow, so I uploaded it to my server, should be a faster download http://tonysland.com/ekb311/EKB311bl...-02-update.img but I cannot keep it there for long. According to Root Checker this rom is already rooted. I flashed the stock rom again and it seems to be working ok. I don't know why my screen flashes to black a lot, but it might have to do with the res settings, or the HDMI cable. It doesn't seem to do it on my other screen. My next step is to try XBMC, Netflix and Skype and see how these work with this rom. I had a hard time finding this rom online, but finally found a link to it. The links on ENY Tech's website for the EKB311 do not work correctly with this box, but I browsed in the downloads for ENY on pan website and found the only rom that works correctly with this box hardware. I feel this posting will help others find the correct rom for this box if they are stuck. Maybe a custom rom for this would be nice. Thank you for tons of information and knowledge from your forum. Without it, I would be lost.

Developers Please Help

1. The boot.img contain an embedded kernel.
Can it be stripped so that the kernel that is already there, be used seperately for help with overclocking, vsync patch etc.
2. Can any other device's boot.img be used for this device?
3. In the init.rk30board.rc file in boot.img there is reference to the mt7601u wifi that the device uses, so another boot.img should also contain this wifi reference or file content.
4. In build.prop there is also this reference

5. Can someone make 720p & 1080p boot.img's and kernels, since I don't know which the stock ones are and if I mix it with other roms I just get a black screen.
6. Can this rom perhaps be modified for the Mediatek wifi above, since it's the most updated and runs on this device with the correct boot.img and kernel and changes above.

7. I also get a strong wifi connection but the internet is not working.
I read somewhere else you need to disable wifi n channel and change wifi bandwidth from 40hz to 20hz(maybe kernel or mediatek wifi chipset is incompatible with those settings) but there is no such setting in my router setup. Other dual-core TV-Sticks wifi and internet works correctly though.

Yes it works.
Install SuperSU from Play store to root it.
Might make a custom rom if someone else doesn't.
