    CX-919 Kills internet

    Hi Everyone,

First of all, great website, it's helped me alot.

I think i've got quite a unique problem here, as I have not been able to find any topics describing remotely the same issue.

    The problem is as follows:

As soon as I plug my CX-919 into my TV's HDMI slot, internet on all devices in my house stops. When I plug the stick into the mains and let it boot up without plugging into the TV, there are no problems. Also when I remove the stick from my TV's HDMI slot, all internet starts working again.

I Must have tried 20 different versions of firmware, all giving the same problem. WIFI or connecting with Ethernet cable, same problem. Different channel on router, same.

I'm pretty desperate and can't figure out why this is happening.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

It sounds to me like something in your HDMI connector shorts a circuit, causing either massive RFI or sending unfiltered 2.4GHz EMI (Blluetooth would do it) to flood your wfi signal. Junk your device or return it for a replacement

I would try replacing the hdmi cable first...

        Thanks for your answer.

Is there any way to disable the bluetooth part of the stick?

I've had some of the China remotes do this.
I plug in the cx-919 and just a few seconds into the loading screen.
My router receives a panic and reboots constantly.
Changing the channel on the router appears to fix it.

You may want to do this as well.
Even though it may not be a remote issue.
