Use it as home PC, webbrowsing, reading, music, movies + XBMC, office, etc.

Based on my experience MK808B will fit you except watching movies (mplayer and youtube). As far as I know there is still problem with video acceleration. In my case every time I tried to play mplayer I got segfault and xorg crashes but according to this information fullscreen video acceleration in mplayer works:

Expert Linux developer olegk0 has made a framebuffer driver for the RK30 HDMI with Mali acceleration (rk30fb_drv.so). You can just download...

In general there are still huge problems with 2D/Video acceleration. Picuntu/Ubuntu uses hardfp which gives you performance improvement especially in any 'media' tasks (watching movies, listening music etc).

RockChip rk3066 and rk3188 are powerful chips and I hope that those last two things will be solved shortly.

Thank you on your detailed reply! Glad to hear that cause I have a MK808B (original) model. Based on my knowledge every linux dist for MK808B model have problems with Wi-Fi, so adapter is needed? Do you know some dist with working Wi-Fi?

That is true, there are several versions of MK808B. Main difference between them (among others which are not important in this case) is WiFi card. If you have no luck (like me) you can end up on one that has MediaTek based wifi. There is same situation with BT when BT is integrated in one chip with wifi but I don't use BT then I don't care about it.

I was able to run WiFi even with extremely unsupported MediaTek (huge shame on this company for not providing support!!!) chip - you have to just find kernel sources with your wifi support.
