    MK908II Lan and streaming issue :)

    Hi everyone !I just bougt a Tronsmart MK908II, and a ethernet adapter (This one: High speed usb 2.0, from geekbuying also)

    The adapter is connected to a usb hub, where my IR dongle also is

    I Bought this device to stream movies from my NAS throug XBMC, but;
    On wifi i can browse my NAS and see some movies but all of those doesnt steam smoothly

    I try to plug in the Ethernet adapter and a Lan cable, but my connection is even worse on the cable?

    What is going on? Do i need some driver for the lan adapter or something?

    I use the standard ROM:ONBOARD NAND Flash 8g

    i dont need to use the device to any other thing than Netflix and streamin movies from my NAS.

    Alternative i could plug the NAS (WD Mycloud) Straight in the device throug a USB cable, but i would prefer if it could works through Lan cable.

    Any suggestion?

    Thank in Advance
    Thomas.
    And sorry for my poor english, i'm from Denmark, where english isn't our first language

    When you use ethernet, did you disable wifi? Sometimes devices conflict with themselves if both are enabled.

      I have tried both, with the same result, when i connect the ethenet and disable wifa, it says no internet connection (down in the corner on homescreen) but the internet works but it is very slow

          Have you tried a different LAN-adapter? Perhaps the one you have bought is only a USB 1.0-device? Make sure it is a USB 2.0 LAN-adapter. If it is indeed a USB 2.0 LAN-adapter, yes, something in the firmware you're running might seem like your MK908II is downthrottling the USB to 1.0 for some reason, perhaps lack of proper drivers. Try different custom firmwares for your dongle - or try other USB LAN Adapters - some chips works better than others, but unfortunatly it is a technology-jungle. You might be lucky you get a good adapter with a good chip, but you might also be unlucky. This China-Android-dongle market isn't regulated by any standards, so it is sometimes a shot in the dark when you look for good Chinese hardware. Your best bet is to try some custom firmwares for your dongle; some of them have more drivers preinstalled for a wider range of chips.
