    MK809iv loop boot

    Hi,

My MK809iv started booting in loop. When I hold the button and plug in the usb to PC I am able to detect him in windows. I tried many drivers and I am unable to successfully install the stick. If I use the DC port or USB port without the reset button, it boot in loop. I got the stock ROM. Is there a driver I can install and a tool I can use to restore my stick?

You asked about drivers for your Windows but you didn't say which version of Windows you are using...

Thats true, its Windows 8.1 X64. I just saw there is a problem with this version of OS. Tonight, I will try with 7. But, if I successfull install the driver, what do you suggest?

Using a WinXp or Win7 is recommended when possible

I'm unfamiliar with those but I can give you a few tips that also apply to other models...

First the model number you are using ... ie MK809iv... you can't go by that because the various Chinese companies do not follow a standard and I suspect if it is like other models... the name means nothing and can't tell you what chipsets they actually used.

This means your first step is to find one that is identical to yours but you'll probably have to read and research a lot. Once you have found it... download the Stock ROM before you attempt to use other custom ROM's you may find or you risk having something not work... like the BT and/or WiFi

I usually recommend that you start looking at the website that you purchased it from or asking the reseller you bought it off of.
