I think it was because of the chinese new year they had holiday discounts.

Would have been on sale during new year.

I recommend against the Pipo M9 Pro as the cheap software-controlled NAND memory causes slowdowns etc.

Go with a tablet such as FNF iFive X3 which is similarly priced and has fast eMMC memory and same specs.

Or get the Onda V975M which is currently the most powerful chinese tablet and has an LG 2048x1536 display and is cheaper than the M9 Pro. Only if you like iPad-like 4:3 ratio though.
