    What to do before flashing a new firmware

    What is the user suppose to do first before flashing a new firmware to make sure its a fully clean install.

    I hate it when no one will reply to a question. The tools that are supplied with any ROM you download will erase your device. If its firmware from where you bought it or the OEM. They will give you a link to the tool to use.
    More important though is to back up your original. How is depending on your device. You will have to research it..Good luck.

      Read everything you can about your device. AFAIK, no one has developed a non-flickering non-OEM kernel for the J22, for instance. Also, you'll need to know how to get your device into Mask ROM mode.
