Can you view X7 on Laptop Screen?

    Hi,

Is there a way to plug the X7 (via usb) in to my Laptop and control it as if it were attached to a TV?

    Thanks.

There is no technical limitation. The screen can be captured and send through usb, and the input on the pc can be routed back to the x7. There is just no software for that, because it hardly makes sense (framerates would be terrible).

But you can try an Android emulator on your laptop. I use GenyMotion ( http://www.genymotion.com/ ) and I think there is one in the Android SDK. It works very well and you don't have to use an external device ;-).

          Thanks,

I'll try Android emulator for other things....

But as for the X7 - I just wanted to control X7 when I didn't have a TV. Not to watch videos or anything like that, but just to maybe instal or remove some apps, or configure xbmc to my liking so that when I did get a TV, everything would be good to go. :-)

I'll try it out as soon as I get my X7 back in hand.

Does the X7 need to be rooted to use Droid VNC Server?
