Pc won't recognise device when trying to root

I'm trying to root my X7 using Kingo but I cannot get my pc to recognise my device, when u plug it in it only sees it as an audio device. If I enable usb debug mode it cannot find any drivers.

Any ideas?

Installing MoboRobo ( http://www.moborobo.com ) did work for me.

What version of Windows are you trying to flash with?

Are there any unknown/bad devices at all listed in the Device Manager?

That's what I did in the end and it work but also had to install some development software from oracle.

The Kingo root worked a treat once the drivers were sorted single click solution, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to root their device.

Kingoroot was banned from xda because it sends a bunch of info from device to a server in China.

Did u get root to work. I had similar problems rooting the mini.

I'll see if I can make a flashable version with cwm to get root on any stock build. You'll just have to install the recovery cwm first.
