T-R42 BRICKED

Hello,

i need an update.zip or an update.img of stock firmware for T-R42 B351 V1.0 or V1.1
to be put into the external sd card to recover the system

I have recovery version 4.2.01, that prompts for this options:

update from external storage: needs update.zip

update rkimage from external storage: needs update.img

I have no other options because my pc is no more able to recognize my T-R42 B351 V1.1

Where can i found such files?

Hm. I see a newer version 2.0 on geekbuying. Hopefully it is a packed as single file img. Check this out.

i tried with a custom ROM (in a single image file),

but when i select the option 'update rkimage from external storage'

the system stops with the error message 'rkimage not valid'

I hope that with 'Stock ROM" images this will not happen...

but i dont understand...
i am speaking about the update from recovery menu of the t-r42
not about the update from the pc
my pc cannot find the t-r42, also when pressing the reset button on the t-r42,
and in my pc in the directory where there is the program rkbatchtool.exe i have not the directory rockusb...

thanks, i checked with older stock version but it did not work...invalid image...
i will try with this, but i have pain it does not work too...

i am not able to find a valid zip file or image file for my device to update it through recovery

When original Firmware didn't work from internal storage, then better look for a Windows PC to flash with a tool.

but my device is no more seen by my pc..(after last firmware update)
no more possible to update it through pc...
i tried also the last chance...mask rom mode...but with no success..
my pc tells always:
unknown usb device

yes the t-r42 does boot with lewys firmware animation...and when the animation ends, the system works for 2-3 seconds, then it freezes...

too little time...i go to the settings but then it freezes...

That sounds not good. Then I see only the chance to clear nand inside the device with shorting the right pins of the nand chip, but I have no experience in this case, sorry. Be sure what you do before you try this dangerous step.

do you think that with recovery menu (stock recovery 4.2.01) i cannot update my device?
i have only to find the right rkimage or zip file...
(when i press the reset button i can go to the recovery menu)
