    clicking noise thru HDMI when browsing - stereo output

    Hello,

    I did post this question to the Minix forum but no one answered so far so I post it here too.
    I tried to check on both forums for my problem but I didn't find any answer so far.

    I was using 008 (I switched to 009 but did not tested it with sound for the moment), forced stereo HDMI output with a 720p Samsung TV set, with or without passthru enabled (just to check).
    I output the sound from my TV set directly onto an analog hifi amplifier thru stereo RCA/Cinch.

    X7-->HDMI set to stereo -->TV SET -->stereo RCA/cinch direct output --> Amplifier

    When move from a page or another or when browsing thru XBMC's pages I hear a clicking sound (more like a popping sound btw).
    This clicking sound is also present with other devices than the X7, but only when I change the TV channel for exemple.
    I suspect the stereo audio channels thru HDMI to be closed then reopened at each click.
    Do you think it's related to my TV being 720p only ?
    If I force a 720p only kernel, do you know if my clicking problem will disappear?
    Any hint to avoid this ?

    Thanks in advance.

    It has to be your TV if you have the same problem with changing a channel or using some other device, like you said it your self.

      I have the same problem with wasser firmware 1.2.5 while I had no problem with Quickshot v2 Rom by The Nitro Team.

        I was also on Quickshot 2 for some times. It was my favorite FW for few days before I tested pre010 I found really stable. But the click/pops were present too.
        When I output 720p at less than 60hz there's less click/pop noises.
        It's probably my TV that doesn't takes resolution switching due to display or something.
        I'll test it further and will test to output via VGA or an active HDMI switch.
