    Bricked device?

    Hi need help.Have an RK3188 Android box.It seems i flashed it with a dodgy firmware.Now it wont do anything for me.All i get now is the blue light on top.The RK batch tool detects it but when i go to flash it,i get the message prepare idb fail?Is there anyway of getting this box to booth again?Thanks for any help.Oh and this is a ppic of board

    Try putting it in Mask ROM by shorting NAND pins 8-9 while connecting the device's USB-OTG port to your PC.

      sorry bit stupid on android boxes.more a raspberry pi man myself.where are the nand pins and is 8 or 9 up or 8 or 9 down?

          NAND chip is the big one with multiple pins located below the RK3188-T CPU. Pin 1 is in the lower right corner. Count from there to 8-9. The
          spec sheets for different NANDs differ (look yours up) . You want to short CE and RE

            Thanks worked a treat,You are the man.Was ready to chuck it in the bin.Any idea as what software to flash it with?I have tried lots of different ones and i get alot of WiFi issues or Ethernet wont work.Again thanks sooooo much.
