    Install Android on PC?

I hope this isn't a stp00pid question, as I am well past the noob stage, but I had no idea who else to ask.....

Is it possible to install Android on a PC, x86 to be exact, as can be done with virtually ever OS in the world? I know I've never seen an install disc/file for the OS itself, but I have a Matricom G-Box Sigma
World's #1 selling Android TV Box since 2011 - Discover why millions of people choose the G-Box as the best Kodi streaming media player in the world!

sitting here that I think would be fun to play with with Android on it.

I hope this was the appropriate place to ask!

    Thanks a lot.

You can install Android on a x86 PC of course.
Either directly (with the option to do dual boot), with some application or inside a virtual machine.
You'll have to do it thru some development kit install or sort of port.

Android-x86 is an Android Open Source Project licensed under Apache Public License 2.0. Some components are licensed under GNU General Public License (GPL) 2.0 or later.

    Some more info:

Perhaps some devel here can give you a hint about the best way to have a fully working X86AndroPC

thanks for the info. I'm sure that will get me started in the right direction. I figured there had to be info about this on the web, but I apparently just never found the right keywords!

this should be an interesting little project!

        Hi,
A goodway to test androidx86 is to use a Usb stick
        Like

-then use the bios boot-manager to boot the usb stick
If it works.. like desired you can always install it on your hd

Looking at your pc specs.. try the 'eeepc' version

        Goodluck
