I am not sure if the 8b G2 is the same as the what is called the 8 G2 Dual Touch?

But I have both a stock ROM and a rooted ROM in my ROM forum.

I would need a dump of the stock ROM then to make a custom ROM. I usually keep track of what Arnova has and first I have heard of a 8b G2????

I went to Arnovatech.com. The 8b G2 is in fact what is marketed as the 8G2 "dual touch" if it has a resistive screen.

Look at Arnova's web site. You will see the pictures that show it's the same tablet as yours. Bottom of the screen says 8b G2.

          http://arnovatech.com/products/g2/ar...try=us&lang=en

Capacitive or resistive screens; the choice is yours
The ARNOVA 8b G2 is available in both capacitive multi-touch (2 point) and resistive dual-touch screens (the G2-Dual Touch models). Though the 8 inch screen quality is identical and both feature the must-have pinch-to-zoom feature as well as the excellent Android™ Gingerbread multi-touch keyboard. Capacitive or resistive may change how you use your ARNOVA 8b G2 as capacitive screens let you use a lighter touch from your fingers for input, while resistive screens give you the possibility of using a stylus; perfect for drawing or handwriting apps2.

So my ROM's labeled as 8G2 "dual touch" is for you IF YOU HAVE THE RESISTIVE SCREEN!

You missed a bit Bob, down at the bottom of that page it says
"The ARNOVA 8b G2 is available in both capacitive multi-touch (2 point) and resistive dual-touch screens (the G2-Dual Touch models)."

If we could see the FCC tag might be able to tell from that.
Otherwise looks like dual-touch allows you to use a stylus, multi-touch your fingers.

[edit] curse you Bob for editing your post after I posted mine

You quoted me while I was editing that post.... I left out that cut and paste.

So what WE DO NOT HAVE is a 8b G2 "capacitive" ROM dump. But I would almost be willing to bet that if you took kernel.img from my 8 G2 and used it with the other IMGs from the 8b G2 resisitve, it would work. But of course no one with a working tablet should do this without a stock ROM dump. But if your bricked already... I for sure would try it!
