Afunta(tm)Bluetooth MK808B Dual Core Android 4.1 TV BOX Rockchip RK3066 Cortex-A9 Mini PC Smart TV Stick

    Good morning

I am new to the scene and thought i was getting a bargain by purchasing this. Now before i send it back and attach a strongly worded letter about poor quality i thought i would seek some advice,

The box works great up until i try and play youtube videos i get sound but no picture. Similarly with xbmc the images appear but are slow and clunky and out of sync. I tested a local file using mx player and it appears to work ok and streaming urls using mx player works fine with the hw decoding switched on.

My question is am i being silly in regards to youtube or is there anything i can do to make this work? Have read about ROMs you can use but also was horrified to read that i have purchased from Afunta UK.

Not really willing to open the device incase it voids any returns on the device but if anyone can help i would be extremely grateful. Also i cannot get it into flash mode manually either.

Do not flash anything until you have opened the device and checked the hardware!
Which xbmc version are you using? The official stable release does not support Android hardware decoding, use Beyond XBMC instead.

Also try with an older version of Youtube after you uninstalled it completely.
Also, try hiding the navigation bar before entering YouTube.
