WIFI performance

I have noticed some data transfer issues, droping in speed eve thoug the signal is excellent I even moved the wifi router next to the dongle and as CX919 has external antena it should not be a problem but the download speed is much less than on my pc or iphone.
I use WIFI scan app and scanned chanels it says that I'm using chnel 11 chnells 12,13,14 have better signal bu in my router settings I have only channels up to 11.

any thoughts?

Hi,
It seems you are talking about router issues

Try
-router
Upgrading the firmware of your router
Try changing the region settings.. try stating that you are in japan.. in most cases this enables channels above 11

-android
Try changing the 'build.prop' to tweak the wifi performence and enable high wifi channels
--see freaktab build.prop section or use a tool like 'android tuner'

-android hw mod
Try a android-wifi-antenne mod

I recently flashed to neomode 1.9a ROM and wifi has been great.

also, this device I suffers from serious interference when you use it with a wireless keyboard/mouse

The signal is great, as I even moved the router next to the stick antenna , but the actual connection drops from time to time without any reason. One moment it's super fast and then the next thee is no connectivity at all ( and it's nothing to do with the router as I'm using it normally on my laptop and my iphone)
Not sue what ROM I have or if it's stock or it was flashed by the vendor,as I don't want to make things even wose by flashing it with a wrong rom,or create other issues (like screen flicering or loosing playstore)

Do u have bluetooth enabled? If so, try without...

i also think this device is easily affected by any type of interference.

moving all electrical cables away from the device has helped.

aiming the antenna at the router has also helped.

Not sure I get it... bluetooth for internet? Not talking about the wifi keyboard although it also creates interference but my internet connection drops put even though the signal strenth is full

Bluetooth interferes with wifi because it is on the same chip. You get better wifi throughput with bluetooth disabled.

I'm experiencing the same wifi issues with my CX-919. I have run many speedtests and my connection speed varies a LOT each time I test it. I have a 30mbps connection but I'm lucky if both my wifi, or my ehternet connection runs over 15mbps. Sometime it will run at 5mbps, other times it will run 25+mbps. I would say my average speed right now is about 10mbps.

Since ethernet and wifi are slow, I'm guessing my problem is related to the ROM? I've used Finless 1.6b and 2.0 kikat and it's about the same :/

What router do you have? B/G/N

I get 1.2MB/sec on my 802.11g router with FTP which is decent. The theoretical max is 6.75MB/s but I have never seen it go over 2MB/sec even with my desktop.

Numbers will be higher if you have a N router, but the bottleneck could be the internal I/O speed.
The next TV box I get will definitely need to have a gigabit port.
