T-R42/K-R42/CS918 owners ... please help! tell me which is your wifi chip

    Hello T-R42/K-R42/CS918 owners,

i have a problem with wifi: it does not work more

BUT perhaps you could help me and others with similar problems:

open the terminal and type: cat /sys/
    class/rkwifi/chip

and post the result on this thread , adding the model and board version you have (if you know it)

    Thanks a lot!

Ok, I see that you try this T-R42 B351 v1.1 PCB | Stockrom | Rooted | OC-Kernel and more... gnm!... and active at xda too.
At 4pda.ru there is someone who use wasser 1.2.3 (I think new revision) with this PCB.
And searching at http://www.freaktab.com/archive/inde...-7952-p-2.html for 'v1.1'...
(e.g. 'shone' => It seems so 1.2.4 works also (but I don't know what kernel))

But perhaps there are different 'releases' pending of the production-date of the PCB ( e.g. "1338")

Or perhaps simply your wifi chip is broken?

      Last but not least:
sometimes they change some GPIO. Normally you can "catch" the information by GPIO module to check gpios in wifi and bt. Lets make the wifi and BT work in more devices., but I don't know if it will work without loaded driver...
Perhaps genom didn't only patch the existing kernel but compile it and can help with this information...

        Thank you!
about wifi chip broken... i checked opening the board that my wifi chip is the AP6210...
i read somewhere that this chip manages both bluetooth and wifi...
in my device wifi does not work BUT BLUETOOTH DOES WORK well...so i think the chip is not broken...
by the way... i found another T-R42 owner (but board version V1.0) that has in /sys/class/rkwifi/chip
        the same value as mine:
        RK901

        i have this question
i know that the folders under /sys are built dynamically by the kernel, to export the values needed by the libraries that loads the drivers
but the specific value that is put into the file is got by the kernel testing the actual device chip or it is hard-coded into the kernel?

        Thank you a lot!
