ethernet and wifi

I have my x7 connected with ethernet but I also like to have the wifi on so I can use droidmote. Does the x7 default to using the ethernet for internet and xbmc streams if the wifi is on as well?

I think I've been reading that when ethernet and wifi are enabled at the same time wifi become an "ad hoc" or "bridge" type of wifi connection.
I used droidmote while connected via ethernet and it was working.
But when ethernet is activated you can't bypass the ethernet detection in some apps that require a wifi-only connection.

Should work fine using ethernet. I use the RKremotecontrol app on my phone (wifi) to control my minix (on ethernet).

Yea I know it works. Just wondered if it is actually using the ethernet if the wifi is turned on as well
