PIPO M9 Pro Camera Bad Focussing
I did not buy my Pipo for the camera, but I have seen good, sharp pics from reviews, so I was very disappointed with my unit. Autofocus apparently works per se, but the sharpest postion reached is VERY unsharp. I guess it can be a hardware problem with the lens or the lens position?

What Android are you running ?
I run the latest RileyROM 2.6 KitKat and have no issue with the camera or autofocus at all. All photos are clear, even the panorama ones.
One can not ignore the possibility of hardware failure...
As I don't know which version you you you may want to try the above
(see http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...692#post156692) for further info.

I can't remember how the camera was with the stock Rom as I re-flashed it the day after I got it.
My latest advice stands, otherwise you should contact your sales point or the factory.

Anyway, I did what I should have done long ago. I tried to flex the back cover, with attached lens, by gently pressing with my fingers. The effect was immediate, I could see focus shifting, as I applied and released pressure. Focus did not get perfect (I dared not press too hard), but good enough to make it worthwile pressing the shutter to check out the result. Not perfect, but dramatically better.
So, it is clear there is a problem with lens position. The question now is what to do about it. Should I try to make a permanent indentation on the metal back (hoping not to permanently ruin the unit)? Should I open it and see if the lens unit can be moved somehow less drastically?
Suggestions, anyone?
