Which model is best for first purchase

Hi I'm New Here a greeting and not if would not be here so bad

with many models which can not choose , normally not happened to me but with this I moderate t-r42/k-r42/km888/cs918 ( do not know if I'm writing well ) are so many and so different in price

these are the models that most call my attention more than anything I'm addicted to change everything else rom'sy

as you can see the last two have a diferiencia pennies are equal when to my

the one that most caught my attention is the second if it is a good model ? I ask because it is the first thing I see you have "B" MK918 - CS918BMK888B will now add a "B".

I hope your earnest support my first tv box and do not want to make a bad purchase so recuro this great forum to know your opinion and thanks
    luck.

They are all so very similar. What I look for is what the wifi/Bluetooth chipset is in the model and what the support is for that chipset in custom kernels. All rk3188 ROMs will work its your chipset that matters for a compatible kernel. Look at d33's kernel for every kitkat thread and only pick a device that has one of those supported chipsets. After that I try to research WiFi performance and then reviews to weed out any common hardware issues with the model.

I will say that my favorite so far is the a928, however I have yet to get the built in USB hub to work in Linux. Android is perfect though

thanks for your answers, and if as I imagined all depends on the chip that has the basic wifi card to see how consistent it is with the rom's. Waiting for someone who has one of these models and count his experience with it, if not comparlo and see what that brings inside.

thanks for your responses and good luck

I Like the rk902 as its running stable and fast now and with few more roms out there becoming a solid box for under 100.00 i have minix boxes as well all those stable and tons of roms.

minix x7- runs delievered for about 160-
          ricomagic 902- 100.
new boxes just being released for new chipset and seems to be around 110-200 for the new amilogic chipsets. ( nothing stable on that end yet but everyone has fingers crossed lol>
I tried T chip boxes and i would aviod anything with a T chipset period!!!
few choices to get true 3188 chipset so just be sure before you purchase that your getting a 3188 not a 3188T as they blow!
some will argue that some T work fine but yet to see box with a Tchipset reach deasent scores or preformace and if your paying same price for one with true 3188 chipset why would you get the T.

just my thoughts if you can hold off for a few weeks you might beable to get amilogic working faster and smoother then the rockchip crap...
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

The MINIX x7 is the best device at the moment IMHO. However for a 3188t the a928 seems well built and I haven't had many of the common T problems.

clear that the neo minix x7 is better but the price is also not the best, and if for customs cost me much more than 120-140 dollars

I understand the hatred for Rockchip and start they did with the T-model but are they really that bad for the average man in the street? I understand developers want to tweak and overclock and therefore would not like it, but I bought one, before knowing about T and no T, and am perfectly satisfied that it does what I need it to.

Whenever I read comments like this I wonder whether I'm missing out on something....

I hear your comments about if it is the same price why not, but when I was shopping the MK908ii was one of the cheapest.

Because of the T chip video seems to be an issue for me on some devices. For example the mk908ii that I had experienced every known T chip issue out there. The a928 did not, they are both very similar but the quality of the chips is really substandard. I would look at the new s802 using the AMLogic chipset as I imagine I'm going to be selling everything I have for that once released.

Add in the fact that T chip devices are dropping to 50-60 dollar mark because they dont run right, I would just avid the head acke or roll the dice and buy one, I wouldn't pay much over the 50 dollar mark from any T chip device. Even not recommending the amilogic until they released and working right, Minix x7 or mk902 or few others with full 3188 or wait till amilogic out and working and reviewed by the masses!

Agreed about the AMLogic part. I ordered mine with BillMeLater which gives me 6 no interest no payments and allows me to test the device and return without any out of pocket cost. (Handy little service for that purpose alone)
