Minix X7 NEO with external hdd & networking with windows 7

Hey Guys first post here so take it easy

so planning on getting the X7 NEO before i do i just want to check a few things.

so my planned setup will be having an external HDD connected to the X7 holding all my media files ( movies series music)
and running XBMC on the X7

now my question is:

A- will the x7 read a 2tb external hdd?
B- will the X7 connect to my windows workgroup so i can transfer files wirelessly to the external hdd from the windows 7 pc and through usb from the x7?

My understanding that he x7 reads HDDs up to 2.5TB. I use a 1TB just fine.

I have not been able to see the X7 fro my Windows workgroup. However I can see shared drives from my PC on X7 using ES Explorer to copy from and to. Can't help with more but would love a solution.

You can run a powerless 2,5" HDD or a external 3,5" HDD up to 3 TB. The best port is the OTG-USB Port (small USB on the power-button / SD-Card Site).You can install a file-browser with network-function (Windows(SMB) Hosts)) like the FX-Browser to move the files between Windows and Android. Minix X7 plays your mediafiles over xbmc. The best player is the MX Player. Plays nearly all file-formats incl. mp3-music. To play and manage your musicfiles the best player is n7player. If you want support for the system, tools and apps you can take a look at my minix7-blog http://minix7.wordpress.com . Its written in german but you can ask me if you have questions.

Should work, just don't expect excellent transfer rates especially if neither the pc nor the x7 has a wired connection.

also,es geht
maximum ist 2,5 terrabyte glaube ich auch.
und transfer über wifi geht auch -->> filezilla
mit der gehts kinderleicht ;D
allerdings -> transferraten echt mies über wifi,lan besser ,aber dennoch nich das goldene :d

now in english:

yes, u can use hdds of max. 2,5 terrabyte and yes,u can stransfer files within wifi-network -> us e this: filezilla
easy to use ;D
