    Vodafone Smart Tab 3

    Hey,

    I recently got the new Lenovo Vodafone Smart Tab 3 10". I was wondering there's any development for this tablet yet?

    That has an MTK processor. Right now we need an MTK developer.

      Wish I could help. I know nothing about development.

      Do you know the device model? Like I assume its a Lenovo XYZ, just branded as Vodafone Smart?

        I just Google'd Vodafone Smart Tab III 10 from your signature and found the Vodafone site and saw the specs.

            Do you have the stock rom available ?

                You could try Framaroot to achieve root.

                To dump your stock rom use MTKDroid Tools.
                if [ $up.post.type = $type.two.lazy.to_use_google ] || [ $up.post.type = $type.silly_question ];
                then mv $user.contact.up.post /.trash; set response($response.type = ignore);
                $user.up.post.ignore_in_future = true; fi;

                  Framaroot failed - "Your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in Framaroot". I assume this means its not compatible?

                  Can I use MTKDroid Tools to dump stock ROM without root?

                              Hey man,
                              thanks for all your help. I've managed to create the scatter file - but I am stuck a Read Back.

                              Do you know how I boot this device into preloader? If I power off and plug while while holding VOL DOWN I get META MODE, VOL UP I get Factory Mode.

                              Neither appears to work with SP Flash Tool Readback.

                              Any advice?
