Bootloop, flash mode does not work

Randy's kitkat rom on pipo m6 pro. Worked great, BUT...

Today I tried to reboot tablet, got stuck on splashscreen (moving in space )with a bootloop.
No problem, I thought, just connect it to PC, start Finless Flash Tool, reboot to flash mode and...then the tablet is not recognised anymore.
So: reset button, start all over again, to no avail.
No problem, Volume+ button and start at the same time: force flash mode... not recognised...

    Seems I am stuck...

Tried again at home, tablet was recognised in flash mode.
I read somewhere (here?) the USB-cable is of great importance...

I'm wondering if this is my issue. I have a similar boot loop since 1.8 riley rom and can't figure a way to sort it out. I wonder if I am using a non pipo original cable. Does it make a difference ? I have used a samsung phone micro usb, and it does not seem to fig snug (comes away nearly all the time). I tried another I got spare somewhere that fits well, but still not recognise the windows machine.

I did try adb from android restore (as I got around lack of usb debugging this way before, but to no avail.

        flow.

I'm afraid that you need to find the actual cable that came with the tablet. It is important because the micro USB connector is longer...to reach further into the port for a good connection.

            Thanks Randy,

Would anyone have a screenshot the cable in question (so I can check different ones I have in house) or any ideas where I can order one online/hack one together?

            Thanks

Just look for the one with a longer micro USB connector.
