    REPLACE SOLDERED NAND CHIP

    HELLO,
i would like to try to replace the nand chip of my bricked tv box with a new chip
this because the original chip has been damaged shortening two pins trying to put the device in mask rom mode
my device is t-r42 based on rk3188
the price of the nand flash is about $4,
i can found it on some chinese online store

i hope that replacing the nand, my device will go to mask rom mode, enabling me to do the firmware loading through pc (rkbatchtool)
i know that this mode has been designed specifically to load the firmware the first time,
so i hope my device will go to this mode the first time i power on it after replacing it
    any suggestion?
    any hint?

i know this must be done with :microscopic` attention ;-)

    thanks!!

BGA reballing is an expensive and difficult process if you have no prior experience and or do not already own the equipment necessary to do it... in other words you're better off just buying a new tv stick.

      hello,
      my alternative is the trash...
the chinese seller does not answer to my requests for repairing it...
perhaps i can spend $4 to try this last chance...
the chip is visibly damaged....some small bubbles appeared on it after my last try to get mask rom mode...
i know this is hard to do and require a lot of time and `microscopic attention` ;-)
but perhaps can be funny ;-)

      by the way...
      my nand chip is this:
      TC58TEG6DCJTA00
      TOSHIBA SW2857
      TAIWAN 13359AE

i hope the seller will give me the datasheet of the chip,
so finally i hope i will know exactly which are the RB & RE & CE pins, that should be the pins to be shortened...

      BGA REBALLING?
my chip does not have simply 2 rows of pins?
i thought to cut the pins , remove the old chip and put the new chip pins on them... without desoldering anything...
i dont need a professional work...
i need only something to hold the new chip in the right position...paying attemption that the new pins will be all in contact to the residual part of the old pins...

      thanks!
